The Systemic Medicine constitutes a really effective approach and should be used in the treatment of psoriasis, since it achieves high percentages of clinical improvement and also improvements in the quality of life, without producing any side effects.

Psoriasis is s a chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects any gender and people at any age. It is characterized by the appearance of flaky red patches called plaques that itch, localized in a specific area or it may also may cover great extensions of the skin, especially the trunk, elbows, knees, scalp, skin folds or nails.

It is estimated that the number of patients affected by this pathology in the World is of 80 million, between 2 and 3 percent of the population. New skin cells take around one month to travel from the deep layers to the surface, but in Psoriasis this process just take a few days, which causes an accumulation of dead skin cells and the formation of thick flakes.

This pathology may develop abruptly or gradually and in many cases, disappears and appears several times in the course of time depending of factors like: medications, infections, excessive consumption of alcohol, obesity, lack of exposure to sunlight, over exposure to sunlight, stress, deficient general health, cold weather and even by the frequent friction of the skin.

The symptoms highly affect the quality of life of those who suffer from Psoriasis. It affects to the point that the seriousness of the illness is determined, not only because of the extension of the skin affected, but also because of the physical, psychological and social consequences that it brings to the patients who suffer from this illness during long periods of time. This is why this illness should not be treated as a cosmetic problem.

Conventional dermatology offers immunosuppressant drugs, which may cause many and serious side effects. Some of these drugs are: steroids, metotrexato, ciclosporin, hidroxiurea, micofenolato mofetil or etanercep, of very high cost and doubted effectiveness.

In the Adaptogenous Medical Centers we have helped hundreds of patients who suffer from this illness. They come to us tired of ineffective, expensive and dangerous conventional treatments, searching for a natural alternative to relieve them and to stop the progress of their illness.

We offer our patients a combination of Adaptogens that increase the levels of energy and lower anxiety; Adaptogens that improve the biological intelligence, getting in this way, the control of the reproduction and migration of the keratinocites, even months after finishing the treatment and Adaptogens that improve the mechanisms of the elimination of the toxins involved in the origin of this illness.

The objective of this treatment is to achieve the control of the illness at long term basis, to offer those patients the physical benefit of the psycho-social aspects of the illness, without causing undesirable effects.
