Success in the treatment of any disease is in obtaining a favorable biological answer, which is directly related to the prescribed dosage, as demonstrated in the evolution that the patient presents/displays.

As is well known in medical science, the BIOLOGICAL response DEPENDS ON the DOSE.  This pharmacological maxim can easily be verified in daily life: it is easy to see clearly that the benefits or detrimental effects of alcohol on a human being, depends on the ingested dose; the same happens with coffee, that is to say, the corporal answer of a person who takes 1 cup of coffee in one hour, is not the same as that of the same person if he/she takes 15 cups of coffee in the same unit of time. The same happens with medicines.

Unlike synthetic drugs, that have therapeutic minimum doses and maximum permissible doses limits due to their toxicity and indirect effects, the adaptogens have effective minimum therapeutic dosage without having a maximum dose, due to the absence of indirect effects.

In the diverse Adaptogen Medical Centers and Units throughout Venezuela and Puerto Rico , 200 conventional doctors properly trained, use adaptogen plants that do not produce secondary effects, in a capsule presentation which allows accurate administering the amount of each adaptogen that the patient will receive. It is for that reason that when the systemic therapy is correctly indicated, the patient receives between 2 to 15 grams of medicinal plants and, even sometimes, a greater dose. This must be so due to the fact that the biological answer depends on the dose, that is to say, the possibility of a fast track recovery is directly related to the dose of adaptogens that the patient ingests.

The ignorance that exists among conventional doctors concerning plants and their correct dosage is remarkable. A recent article published by the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine, concludes that the administration of 160 mg two times per day of Serenoa repens, a medicinal plant approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and used daily by more than 2 million men with benign prostate hyperplasia in the U.S.A., does not offer benefits to patients with this disease. Nevertheless, the DOSE used in that study was not the CORRECT one to produce the required biological answer, that is to say, the diminution in size of the prostate gland.

Systemic Medicine manages to revert more than 80% of the cases of patients with the same diagnosis and there are studies that corroborate it. The difference lies in the correct handling of natural medicines doses.

This explains the great benefits of the adaptogenic plants and successes of the systemic formulations: a deep knowledge and a suitable use of the herbal doses, under the systemic approach of Energy, Intelligence and Organization.
