Most aneurisms are classified as degenerative atherosclerotic. A genetic predisposition, inflammatory factors and hemodynamic factors seem to have a protagonist roll in the development of this disease.
Arterial aneurisms are detected typically in: Aorta (at thoracic or abdominal level), popliteal and femoral arteries. More than 90% of aneurisms are originated below the renal arteries and they can extend to the iliac arteries. The aorta aneurisms are present in 5% to 8% of the older than 65 year old population and its incidence has tripled in the last30 years. The ideal study to evaluate this type of injuries is an ecosonograph.
The clinical classification is:
1) Asymptomatic Aneurisms: They are diagnosed during routine examinations or by chance when a patient has an echosonogram.
2) Symptomatic Aneurisms: pain in part inferior back or region low abdomen, presence of visible pulsations at the abdomen level (this indicates that the aneurism is growing or breaking, peripheral embolisms.
3) Broken Aneurism: abdominal, thoracic pain or in the back, of strong intensity, accompanied by hypotension, pallor and profuse perspiration.
Conventional aneurisms treatment is surgical and it is based on the positioning of arterial bridges. It is indicated when the diameter of the aneurism exceeds 6-7cmts.
Considering the surgical risk factors of this group of patients (tabaquism, age, habits and systemic arterial disease) plus the type of procedure, it is logical to see a large morbidity and mortality in this group of patients, in the absence of effective medical treatments.
With the application of Systemic Medicine, until the present moment, 5 cases of patients have been reported with a surgical aneurisms diagnosis, which after receiving their treatment with adaptogens -that increase the Energy, biological Intelligence and Organization (structure and operation of the arterial wall in this case)- were successfully treated, diminishing the size of these injuries and demonstrating the fortification of the arterial wall, which allows us to affirm that the Systemic Medicine is the only non-surgical option for the successful treatment of this pathology.
