Music tames the fierce and pain

‘An investigation showed that more than 20% of the patients with chronic ailments felt lightening after listening to music. In addition, patients with osteoartritis also diminished the depression incidence.

 

It was already known that soothing music relaxes and lowers stress. But now scientists proved that it also serves to alleviate chronic pain.

A study published in the Journal of Advanced Nursing showed the improvement effect that produced music in patients with chronic pains.

The investigation was carried out under the support of the Cleveland Clinical foundation, in the United States , on 60 people with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid problems and others, which suffered the ailment for more than six years.

According to the patient's feedback, after listening to music, 21% of them experienced a lightening of symptoms. Melodies produced a tranquilizing effect and avoided the depression.
