After four months of treatment the ulcerous injury disappeared completely and the values of blood glucose were normal, reason why the foot amputation was avoided.

Diabetes mellitus is the most common metabolic disease and is characterized by a deficit in the secretion or use of insulin, responsible for the infiltration of glucose to the cells. The resulting glucose excess -in the blood stream- deteriorates the blood vessels and nerves, obstructing the blood flow to the feet (diabetic foot), eyes (retinopathies) and kidneys (nephropathy). This can lead to amputations, loss of the vision or renal insufficiency.

Seven out of every 1,000 diabetics will undergo an amputation and one third of the diabetics who have needed a major amputation, lose the contra lateral extremity within a subsequent period of 5 years. One third of the diabetics, who suffered a major amputation of an extremity, pass away within the following twelve months.

The conventional treatment of diabetic foot is difficult and with limited results, because the drugs used do not penetrate to the affected site due to the arterial obstruction. This explains the little effectiveness of conventional medicine and the high frequency of amputations, thus the importance of looking for an alternative treatment that can rehabilitate the diabetic foot.

At the Adaptogen Medical Centers we have successfully taken care of hundreds of patients who suffer this disease, who go tired of ineffective, expensive and dangerous conventional treatments, and were seeking a natural alternative that avoids the amputation and stops the advance of the disease.

Next, is the case of Mrs. Sixta Rodriguez, who was attended by Dr Franklin Roa at the Adaptogen Medical Center at La Florida , Caracas .

Mrs. Sixta arrived at the Center to presenting/displaying an ulcerous foot injury, caused by Diabetes, with a long evolution. The advanced stage of the disease and failure of the conventional treatments, prompted her doctor to suggest the imperative need to amputate the foot.

For this reason Mrs. Rodriguez decided to look for an alternative, reason why she attended a consultation with the Dr Roa, who indicated a treatment consisting of a diet, adaptogens and hypoglycemic medicine. After four months of treatment the ulcerous injury disappeared completely and the values of blood glucose were normal, reason why the foot amputation was avoided.

Mrs. Sixta declared to be extremely thankful to Dr Franklin and Systemic Medicine.
